Whitefish Bay Hosts Shopping Night June 16

The Whitefish Bay Business Improvement District Presents

Ladies Night Out ~ Silver Spring Drive, Whitefish Bay

Thursday, June 16, 6-8 p.m.

 

Ladies Night Out is an evening of specialty treats and shopping that contributes towards supporting U.S. troops serving overseas. On June 16 from 6 to 8 p.m., participating stores will provide live entertainment, complimentary samplings, great in-store promotions, and unique offerings only available on Silver Spring Drive in Whitefish Bay. A tree crafting workshop will start at 3p.m. at Winkie’s.

 

Stroll Silver Spring for exquisite sweets and delectable drinks and linger to enjoy live entertainment. Visit our Christmas in June workshop to decorate a tree for our troops or just drop by to make a donation to Trees From Home as the organization kicks off its 2011 season on this special summer evening. “We are pleased to offer a fun evening of specialty shopping for our customers,” said John Stuhlmacher, chairman of the business district board. “We look forward to a warm summer evening with people enjoying the unique offerings on Silver Spring Drive.”

 

Participating businesses include the Cutting Group, Indulge Studios, Winkie’s, Elements Therapeutic Massage, Simon Oliver, Ruhama’s , Hounds Around Town, Gallery 505, RedCap Luggage & Gifts, Stone Creek Coffee, Placesetters, the Patricia Shoppe, Minoan Intimate Apparel, Harpo’s, Breadsmith, New Options Salon and Boutique, Boutique Photographer Linda Gumieny, Three Wishes, and Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers. Since 2009, Trees From Home, Inc. has sent thousands of 12 inch hand-decorated Christmas trees to U.S. troops who cannot be home over the holidays. Visit http://www.treesfromhome.org to learn more about how Trees From Home supports soldiers overseas and tour Silver Spring Drive on Ladies Night Out to contribute to their cause. Julie Stuhlmacher, President of Trees from Home is pleased to be initiating the 2011 donation drive on Silver Spring Drive. “We plan to send 2500 trees this year, to the young men and women that are oversees during the holidays. This event is a great way for us to kick off our tree drive.”

 

A special workshop station will be available at Winkie’s starting at 3pm for people to craft trees that will be sent oversees to troops that are far from home during the holidays. Trees from Home will provide the trees, and all the needed supplies.
