1A 23-year-old Mequon man was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving after revocation in the 8800 block of North Port Washington Road at 1:45 a.m. Feb. 17. The man had an occupational license, his had been suspended for a drunken driving conviction, but he was driving outside the restricted hours. Two plastic bags of marijuana weighing 4 grams were found in his pockets and a pipe with residue was in the glove box and another pipe, also with residue, and a grinder were in the center console.


2A 36-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested on two counts of theft, obstruction for giving a false name and three warrants in the 7600 block of North 44th Street at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 19. The woman approached a resident telling him she ran out of gas and would he buy two gift cards for $10. That resident recognized her as coming to his home Jan. 5 asking for money for the American Cancer Society and he gave her $5. She then went to a neighbor's this time asking for money for autism research and got $43. On this date, he said he would buy the cards but had to get the money and went inside and told his wife to call the police. The woman became nervous and when she tried to leave the two struggled. She did flee but was caught.

3A 2008 Pontiac valued at $12,000 was taken while parked at Brown Deer Library, 5600 W. Bradley Road, about 7 p.m. Jan. 29. It was found in the 8900 of North Michele Street, Milwaukee, at 8:45 p.m. No damage was reported.

4A 26-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for drunken driving, with a prior conviction, a warrant and speeding 58 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 5900 block of West Brown Deer Road at 11:55 p.m. Jan. 29. He had a preliminary blood alcohol content of 0.179 and was taken for a blood draw.

5A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of 1.6 grams of marijuana after the car he was in was stopped in the 9000 block of North Green Bay Road at 2:25 p.m. Feb. 1. The car smelled of marijuana and the man admitted he had smoked it earlier.

6A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of 0.5 grams of marijuana and driving with a suspended license in the 8200 block of North Teutonia Avenue at 11 p.m. Feb. 4. The man had hidden the marijuana in his glove and it fell out at the police station. He said he bought "today" for $10 but wouldn't say where or from whom.

7A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving after a 911 call reporting an erratic driver in the 6500 block of West Bradley Road at 2:45 a.m. Feb. 6. The man said he didn't have much to drink "just two beers and a shot or two." His BAC was 0.08.

8A 20-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft of a jacket valued at $230 from Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, at 6:15 p.m. Feb. 8. She was found at another store and arrested.

A 29-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man, both of Brown Deer, were referred to the District Attorney for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related after both reported the other had attacked them at 3:25 p.m. Feb. 9. The man, who had cuts and scratches to his face, had a preliminary BAC of 0.275.

A 29-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for battery/domestic violence related, after he grabbed his mother's throat and pushed and hit her at 2 p.m. Feb. 11. The victim signed the 72-hour no contact order.

9A 29-year-old Brown Deer woman was arrested for physical abuse of a child after her daughter reported that her mother had given her "a whooping" before she came to school at Dean Elementary School, 8355 N. 55th St., at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 11. The girl, who had cuts and bruises on her face, said her mother hit her with a belt and her fist.

There were two additional domestic violence incidents this week.


10A man, age and residence not available, was arrested for drunken driving, with two prior convictions, refusal to take a breath test and warned for speeding 34 mph in a 25 mph zone in the 500 block of East Dean Road at 2:20 a.m. Feb. 10. The man admitted drinking telling police they were "ruining my life" and because of the arrest his "children would be homeless." When asked if he intended to harm himself he told the officer to "Kiss my (expletive)." He was taken for a blood draw.

11A woman, age and residence not available, was arrested for drunken driving, with a prior conviction, after weaving in traffic in the 8200 block of North Port Washington Road at 2:30 a.m. Feb. 15. The woman said she was out with friends and had five drinks. She also said she'd driven those friends home and started to cry. Her BAC was 0.27 and she was taken for a blood draw.

12A resident reported four unauthorized withdrawals of $50 each from her account at US Bank, 400 W. Brown Deer Road, on Feb. 15. The bank said that the authorization was called in and approved over the phone. The case is under investigation.


13Two Milwaukee women, 23 and 29, were arrested for disorderly conduct at Applebee's, 5810 N. Bayshore Drive, at 8:50 p.m. Feb. 6. The women were loud and profane complaining about the food and the service. When told to quiet down, the younger woman said "I can do what the (expletive) I want." She later apologized for threatening the server and being disorderly. The older woman, who was celebrating her birthday, told an employee that after she got out of jail she would return and "Whoop her (expletive)."

14A 24-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving and driving without a license in the 6200 block of North Port Washington Road at 1:40 a.m. Feb. 7. When arrested, she began to cry and admitted never having a license. The woman, who also admitted drinking two beers and a half pint of gin, had a BAC of 0.29.

15Items valued at more than $30,000 including computers, DJ equipment, TVs and jewelry were taken from the 6900 block of North Rockledge Avenue between 7:30 p.m. Feb. 8 and 1:30 a.m. Feb. 9.

16A woman was the victim of a battery after exiting a bus in the 5800 block of North Port Washington Road at 1:30 a.m. Feb. 9. She told police she got on the bus at the airport and her attacker got on about a mile later. He sat across from her and kept punching his hand with his fist which made her nervous so she moved closer to the driver. After they got off, the man punched her causing injury and then ran off. The woman was taken to a hospital. The driver said the man is a frequent rider.

17A 17-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent and knowingly fleeing an officer after speeding through Shorewood, Whitefish Bay, Fox Point and Glendale where his car was stopped by stop sticks in the 6000 block of North Port Washington Road at 12:15 a.m. Feb. 10. The boy and his 16-year-old male passenger fled but police followed their footsteps in the snow to the 500 block of West Fairfield Court. The passenger, who was referred to Children's Court, denied knowing the car was stolen saying his friend said he bought it from his grandmother.

A resident reported getting a phone call from "her grandson" saying he'd been in an accident and arrested for drunken driving the morning of Feb. 13. He then asked her to send him $3,000. The woman told him, "Call your mother!" and hung up knowing it was a scam.

18A student, age and residence not listed, was cited for theft of earphones valued at $200 from an unlocked boy's locker at Nicolet High School, 6701 N. Jean Nicolet Road, at 1:10 p.m. Feb. 13.

19A man, age and residence not listed, was arrested for lewd and lascivious behavior after exposing himself to a waitress in the 5800 blocks of North Bayshore Drive at 3:25 p.m. Feb. 13. The man, who was banned for life from Bayshore, said he was on medication.


No reportable incidents.


20Two 13-year-old girls of Milwaukee and Shorewood were referred to juvenile authorities for disorderly conduct after fighting in a hallway at Shorewood Intermediate School, 3830 N. Morris Blvd., at 8 a.m. Feb. 8. No injuries were reported.

21A 2005 Chevy work van left running and unlocked was taken from the 4000 block of North Oakland Avenue at 9 a.m. Feb. 8. It was recovered in an alley behind the 3300 block of North Fourth Street, Milwaukee, at 4 a.m. Feb. 9.

22A 38-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and theft at Pick 'n Save, 4145 N. Oakland Ave., at 8:45 p.m. Feb. 8. The man, who left the store with $65 of meat, was stopped and found with a crack pipe.

23A 38-year-old Grafton woman is a suspect in theft of beauty products and baby formula valued at more than $100 from Pick 'n Save, 4145 N. Oakland Ave., at 10:10 p.m. Feb. 8. The woman, who was recognized as previously been banned from the store, got in a car and fled.

24A 59-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for theft of a woman's wallet at Pick 'n Save, 4145 N. Oakland Ave., at 1:50 p.m. Feb. 9. The man was in line behind the woman and after she checked out, she left her wallet behind and he took it. He then paid for his groceries using his store card and police were able to trace him to his Milwaukee home where he admitted the theft and gave back the wallet.

25A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for receiving stolen property, displaying unauthorized plates and driving with a suspended license in the 3900 block of North Holton Avenue at 1:40 a.m. Feb. 12. The man was driving a car with stolen license plates and when stopped he denied knowing they were stolen saying "a dude" just gave them to him.

A 34-year-old Shorewood man was arrested for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related and a probation violation after a report of him hitting his live-in girlfriend at 3:45 a.m. Feb. 12. The woman signed the 72-hour no contact order. Later that day, the District Attorney issued a no-process order and the man was then only cited for disorderly conduct.

26A woman was the victim of an assault as she stood at a bus stop in the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue at 11:35 p.m. Feb. 12. She was unable to give a description of the man and refused medical treatment.

27A 2007 Hyundai SUV valued at $14,000 was taken from the 3600 block of North Maryland Avenue on Feb. 13 or 14. It had been parked on the street.


A 23-year-old Whitefish Bay woman was arrested for battery/domestic violence related after causing injury to a man about 2 p.m. Feb. 12. The man signed the 72-hour no-contact order. The case was processed by the District Attorney's office and the woman was charged with battery/disorderly conduct.

28A 39-year-old Mequon woman was cited for hit and run after hitting the driver's side view mirror of a parked car and driving off in the 5200 block of North Lydell Avenue about 4 p.m. Feb. 12. The woman was located and said she knew she hit the other vehicle but didn't see any damage.

29A bank deposit of more than $600 was reported lost or missing as an employee walked from Dunkin' Donuts, 106 W. Silver Spring, to Associated Bank, 430 E. Silver Spring Drive, about 4:20 p.m. Feb. 12.

30A resident reported that someone scratched her 2003 Honda Element SUV in the 900 block of East Henry Clay Street between 9:30 p.m. Feb. 13 and 7:30 a.m. Feb. 14. The amount of damage was not available.

31A resident reported that her purse was missing early morning Feb. 14. The last time she remembered having it was at Starbucks, 302 E. Silver Spring Drive. She listed the value of the purse at $400 and the contents at more than $1,500 including a $200 wallet, a $300 cellphone, $400 sunglasses and more than $600 cash.

32A 43-year-old Whitefish Bay woman was cited for failure to notify police of an accident, failure to have insurance and failure to display license plates after she hit another car and left the scene on Henry Clay Street and Santa Monica Boulevard at 9:50 a.m. Feb. 15. The woman, who exchanged information with the other driver, left before police arrived.

33A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for resisting/obstruction and trespassing in the 5500 block of North Shoreland Avenue at 6:05 p.m. Feb. 15. The man was running from police as a suspect in a theft at a Bayshore Town Center store. When caught, he was taken into custody by Glendale police.

34A purse with credit and debit cards, a UWM student ID and about $40 cash was reported lost or taken somewhere in the 300 to 600 blocks of East Silver Spring Drive between 4:30 and 5 p.m. Feb. 16.

35A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and resisting arrest in the 4700 block of North Oakland Avenue at 11:45 p.m. Feb. 16. Police responded to a report of a male slumped over in his car. He refused to take field sobriety tests and struggled with police and had to be electronically shocked. He was taken for a blood draw.


Firefighters responded to 117 calls, 76 emergency medical and 41 fire/rescue, Feb. 3 to 10 and 110 calls, 81 emergency medical and 29 fire/rescue Feb. 11 to 17.
