1A sign alerting motorists to an enforcement area regarding drunken drivers valued at $300 was taken from the 9300 block of North Port Washington Road before 10 a.m. Feb. 11.


2A 17-year-old Brown Deer boy was cited for truancy after missing 79 days of school at Brown Deer High School, 8060 N. 60th Street, Sept. 1 to Jan. 13 and reported Jan. 27.

3An 18-year-old Menomonee Falls man was arrested for underage drinking and resisting arrest after police were called to remove him from a party at Four Points Sheraton, 8900 N. Kildeer Court, at 1:18 a.m. Jan. 31. The man ran from police and when caught yelled for them to call his parents. One officer injured a knee during the chase. The suspect would not say where he got the alcohol, denied drinking and told officers he knew where they could buy some "weed." His blood-alcohol content was 0.15.

4A 17-year-old Milwaukee girl was arrested for theft of nine items valued at more than $400 at Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, about noon Feb. 1. The girl hid the items in a purse and a shoe box. She said she intended to sell them.

5A 34-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of 0.3 grams of marijuana, drunken driving and driving while suspended in the 7100 block of West Brown Deer Road at 2:35 a.m. Feb. 3. His BAC was 0.09.

6A 25-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for her second drunken-driving violation, refusal to submit to a chemical test and operating after revocation when stopped for an expired registration in the 6400 block of West Brown Deer Road at 2:20 a.m. Feb. 6. She denied drinking. Her preliminary BAC was 0.183.

7A 26-year-old Brown Deer woman was arrested for drunken driving after her boyfriend called 911 to report she was drunk and had their baby in the car in the 4100 block of West Rivers Edge Circle at 10 p.m. Feb. 7. She was stopped a few blocks away with the baby who was not injured. Her BAC was 0.13.

8A 30-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for attempted strong-armed robbery after he knocked down a man as the victim tried to enter the YMCA, 9250 N. Green Bay Road, at 5:50 a.m. Feb. 10. The robber, who is taller than six feet and 300-plus pounds, is on probation for battery and was arrested in October for disorderly conduct. A witness saw the attack and called police who arrested the man in the 4100 block of West Schroeder Drive near his residence.


9The theft of a digital camera valued at $90 was caught on video at Walgreens, 8615 N. Port Washington Road, on Feb. 8. The video shows a man going behind the counter and removing the camera from the box. Dried blood was found on the box.


10Two laptop computers, a watch and cash valued at more than $7,000 was taken from the 5700 block of North Milwaukee River Parkway during the day Feb. 4. There was sign of forced entry.

11A 45-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft of steaks valued at more than $100 at Pick 'n. Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 4:15 p.m. Feb. 4. The man was told he could post bail of $220 and leave. He said if he had that money, he wouldn't have been stealing.

12The theft of a number of Blu-ray movies valued at more than $1,000 was caught on surveillance video at Barnes and Noble, 5755 N. Bayshore Drive, at 8 p.m. Feb. 4. A white man and woman, in their 20s, put the movies in the woman's purse and left the store.

13A 19-inch flat-screen TV and jewelry were taken from the 100 block of West Green Tree Road during the day Feb. 5. Some of the residence had been ransacked. There was sign of forced entry.

14A 28-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft of items valued at more than $150 and resisting arrest and a 26-year-old Milwaukee woman for a warrant after witnesses reported them taking items from Gymboree, Gap Kids, Bath and Body Words, Boston Store and The Children's Place at Bayshore Mall, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, at 3 p.m. Feb. 6. Witnesses said the woman carried a fake Dolce & Gabbana purse later found "stuffed with clothes" along with a wire cutter at Boston Store. The woman denied the purse was hers, denied stealing and denied knowing the man. The man denied knowing the woman.

15A 25-year Brown Deer woman was arrested for drunken driving and operating after revocation after a witness reported she was intoxicated and had vomited at Midas, 6204 N. Port Washington Road, at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 6. The woman admitted having three drinks. Her BAC was 0.13.

16A white Apple I book was taken from a classroom at Nicolet High School, 6701 N. Jean Nicolet Road, on Feb. 8. The computer valued at $300 belonged to the school.

• A resident reported being the victim of fraud after he sent $2,850 via Western Union to buy a car advertized on craigslist Feb. 8. The "seller" told the resident to send the money via Western Union and if asked, say he was sending money to a relative. craigslist and eBay tell their users never to send payments this way.

17Two Milwaukee men, 17 and 20, were arrested for possession of 1.8 grams of marijuana when their car was stopped in the 5700 block of North Port Washington Road at 9 p.m. Feb. 8. Marijuana cigarettes and a bag with the drug were found along with marijuana residue of seeds and stems scattered in the car and in a container of carry out Chinese food. The men said the drugs weren't theirs.

18More than $600 was taken from the Board Game Barrister, 5738 N. Bayshore Drive, about 1:30 p.m. Feb. 9. Entry was gained through a rear door.

19A 13-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for theft at Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 2 p.m. Feb. 9. The boy was seen entering a fitting room with a cart of clothes and a flat backpack. He exited without the clothes and a full backpack. Sales tags and hangers were found in the fitting room along with a worn pair of cargo pants. The boy wore Kohl's clothes and two watches. He was found with 22 pieces of merchandise valued at more than $800. He said he took the items because he wanted them.


No reportable incidents


20A resident saw two males urinating on a light pole in the 1400 block of East Pinedale Court at 11 p.m. Feb. 6. He yelled at them to stop and one of them yelled back to "(expletive) off or I'll kick your (expletive)." The men ran off before police arrived.

21An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for underage drinking and possession of fireworks after a witness saw him setting off fireworks near Shorewood High School, 1500 E. Capitol Drive, at 12:30 a.m. Feb. 7.

22A 30-inch flat screen TV and three guns were taken from an unsecured residence in the 4300 block of North Sheffield Avenue early afternoon Feb. 9.

23A 55-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested on two counts of receiving stolen property after he was found with a gym bag and other items taken from a car in the 3500 block of North Maryland Avenue the morning of Feb. 10. Other cars were entered in the 4000 block of North Prospect, 3600 block of North Maryland and 3500 block of North Frederick avenues.


24A man attempted to take more than $171 of baby formula from CVS Pharmacy, 240 E. Hampton Road, at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 8.

25Two residents were warned after reports of snow blowing at 4:30 a.m. Feb. 9 in the 4700 block of N. Wilshire Road and at 4:45 a.m. in the 1000 block of East Sylvan Avenue. Snow blowing cannot start until 6 a.m.

26Two Apple Mac Books valued at $2,800 were taken from the 4700 block of North Berkeley Boulevard the morning of Feb. 10. A rear door was damaged to gain entry.

27A car was broken into but nothing taken in the 5900 block of North Shoreland Avenue between 5 and 9 p.m. Feb. 12.

28A windshield was cracked causing $1,000 damage while parked in the 4600 block of North Lake Drive between 8 and 10 p.m. Feb. 12.

29A 33-year-old Menomonee Falls woman was arrested for drunken driving after driving the wrong way in the 5000 block of North Palisades Road at 1:10 a.m. Feb. 13. Her BAC was 0.16.

30A 23-year-old Whitefish Bay man was arrested for possession of marijuana after a noise complaint in the 4800 block of North Anita Avenue at 4 a.m. Feb. 14. More than 4.5 grams of marijuana was in plain sight on a coffee table.


• Firefighters responded to 115 calls, 84 emergency medical and 31 fire/rescue, the week of Feb. 8 to Feb. 14.

31A small fire was reported in an apartment in the 1700 block of East River Park Court, Shorewood, at 11 p.m. Feb. 14. The tenant said a chair she was sitting in caught fire for no reason. She put a blanket on the fire and doused it with water. The chair, an electric massage chair plugged into an outlet, and burned carpeting were removed. The amount of damage was not listed.
