1Two cars were broken into at Lowe's lot, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road, in late September. A Global Positioning System unit valued at $600 was taken from one car and a digital media player with 7,000 songs and photos valued at $500 from the other. Damage to windows ranged from $100 to $200.

2A 26-year-old Milwaukee woman was mailed a citation for damage to property of $150 at the Community Based Residential Facility, 8238 N. 44th Street, on Sept. 28. A supervisor arrived at work at 3:30 a.m. with "reason to believe" that an employee was sleeping on the job. The suspect was found sleeping on a couch, and she had parked her car in the garage against company policy. After an argument, the suspect quit her job and left. Later the door to the garage was found damaged. The suspect denies the allegations.

3A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving after being stopped for a defective light in the 4600 block of West Bradley Road at 2 a.m. Oct. 4. The man admitted having a "couple beers." His blood-alcohol content was 0.13.

4A 45-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for drunken driving after being stopped in the 4100 block of West Woodale Avenue at 1:30 a.m. Oct. 5. The man admitted drinking saying "I'm a bartender so I had a couple." His BAC was 0.15.

5A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving after being stopped for an expired plate in the 4600 block of West Good Hope Road at 2 a.m. Oct. 6. The man admitted having a "couple beers." His BAC was 0.15.


6A 19-year-old Plymouth man was arrested for violation of absolute sobriety and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after he was seen leaving the Jewish Community Center, 6401 N. Santa Monica Blvd., at 2 a.m. Oct. 1. Six grams of marijuana were found in his car along with a multi-colored pipe, a 1.75 liter bottle of vodka and 12 cans of beer. A 19-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for underage drinking. The man's BAC was 0.04.

7A 62-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, running a stop sign and failure to wear a seat belt in the 300 block of East Dean Road at 1 a.m. Oct. 3. After driving through the stop sign, he stopped in the intersection telling police he was lost. He had come from 81st Street and was trying to find 51st Street. He failed field sobriety tests. His BAC was 0.07.

8A GPS unit valued at $120 was taken from a van in the 8600 block of North Port Washington Road on Oct. 5. A window was smashed causing about $200 damage.

9A 19-year-old Bayside man was arrested for possession of about 1 gram of marijuana in the 300 block of West Brown Deer Road at 3:30 a.m. Oct. 9. The man had been in the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center parking lot but drove off when he saw police. He said he didn't like police officers and was looking for a place to smoke. The marijuana was found in a canister in his car.


10A 17-year-old Bayside girl was arrested for underage drinking while participating in the Girls' Powder Puff Homecoming Football game at Nicolet High School, 6701 N. Jean Nicolet Road, at 4:40 p.m. Oct. 2. A school resource officer noticed that she smelled of alcohol and asked her if she'd been drinking. She said no and started to cry adding that she was a good student and wasn't driving. Her BAC was 0.099.

11A 16-year-old Bayside boy was arrested for disorderly conduct for using obscene language and refusing to leave Bayshore Town Center, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, about 8 p.m. Oct. 2. Earlier, Bayshore security had told him to pull up his pants since his buttocks were partially exposed and also to leave the mall along with two other boys since they were causing a disturbance. He told officers he had recently received a disorderly conduct citation at Nicolet High School.

12Two 12-year-old girls and a 15-year-old girl, all of Milwaukee, were arrested for theft of clothing valued at $266 from Claire's Boutique, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 3.

13A 40-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for prowling after a neighbor reported him in a backyard in the 4600 block of North Ironwood Lane at 1 a.m. Oct. 5.

14A 26-year-old West Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft of six bottles of perfume valued at $290 from Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at noon Oct. 5. The woman took the bottles into a fitting room along with some clothes and a flat purse and came out with only the clothes and a "fat purse." She drove off speeding at over 60 mph and then ran. She admitted taking the six bottles saying she wanted to take 15 but her purse was too small. She also admitted thefts this summer from Kohl's in Milwaukee and Oak Creek.

15A 22-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of marijuana, resisting arrest for giving a false name, driving without a license and for unauthorized registration after being stopped for a stolen plate in the 5600 block of North Port Washington Road at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 5. The woman said the car was her boyfriend's and he didn't know the plate was stolen. There was a strong odor of marijuana in the car that the woman said came from "ducks" - slang for the stubs of marijuana blunts - that she had thrown away.

16A $400 bicycle was taken from an unlocked garage in the 2200 block of East Menlo Boulevard on Oct. 1 to 7.

17More than one dozen cars were entered Oct. 3 to 7 including the 3900 block of North Maryland Avenue, the 4400 blocks of North Marlborough Drive and North Woodruff Avenue, the 4000 and 4100 blocks of North Downer Avenue and the 4300 blocks of North Ardmore and North Wildwood avenues. Only a few items were reported stolen.

18Three tires were slashed causing more than $400 damage in the rear of the 1800 block of East Menlo Boulevard on Oct. 4 or 5.

19A lawnmower, snow blower, circular saw and other items valued at more than $600 were taken from a garage in the 4400 block of North Sheffield Avenue on Oct. 6 or 7. The garage door and two car windows had damage of more than $700.

20A 13-year-old boy was cited for disorderly conduct/battery after he threw a chair at another student at Shorewood Intermediate School, 3830 N. Morris Blvd., at 10 a.m. Oct. 7.

21A GPS unit and a wireless phone valued at more than $300 were taken from a car in a garage in the 4100 block of North Ardmore Avenue Oct. 7 or 8. A car window was broken.


22Two ottoman-style couches valued at $3,000 were taken from the lobby of Ogden, Inc., 5600 N. Lake Drive, over the last 30 days and reported Oct. 6.

23A 17-year-old Whitefish Bay girl was issued a citation for habitual truancy after missing 13 school days from Whitefish Bay High School, 1200 E. Fairmount Avenue, on Oct. 8.

24A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft of a snow blower and a chain saw from the 1500 block of East Fairmount Avenue about 4 p.m. Oct. 10. The resident reported he saw the suspect driving a tan Honda station wagon. The man was stopped by Shorewood police on Humboldt Avenue and Capital Drive.

25A video game system valued at $550 was taken from the 6200 block of North Lydell Avenue between 4 and 4:45 p.m. Oct. 10.

26A 17-year-old Whitefish Bay boy was arrested for battery to a school official and a police officer, and three other 17-year-old Whitefish Bay juveniles have underage drinking citations pending, after a report of underage drinking at the Dominican High School homecoming dance, 120 E. Silver Spring Drive, about 8:30 p.m. Oct. 10.

27A resident reported the theft of a purse with a driver's license and $25 to $30 from the 5300 block of North Lydell Avenue on Oct. 12.


• Firefighters responded to 134 calls, 91 emergency medical and 43 fire/rescue, between Oct. 5 and Oct. 11.
