Pindyck honored for service to village

March 19, 2009

The River Hills Village Board last night honored longtime trustee Mary Ellen "Candy" Pindyck for her 15 years as an elected official.

Pindyck, who has served five terms on the board, chose not to seek re-election this spring. Last night's meeting was her final one as a trustee.

Throughout her time in office, Pindyck also served on the village Plan Commission and Board of Appeals.

Village President Robert Brunner praised Pindyck for her legal background, which he deemed "an asset to the board."
