1A wallet valued at $20 with some cash and credit cards inside was taken from an unlocked office in the 500 block of West Brown Deer Road between 12:10 and 12:15 p.m. Feb. 10. Several purchases were made with the credit cards.

2A 23-year-old Fox Point woman was cited for drunken driving at Brown Deer and Port Washington roads about 4:15 a.m. Feb. 14. Her blood-alcohol content was 0.13.


3Two Milwaukee men, 23 and 27, were arrested for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia in the 5100 block of West Brown Deer Road at 10:47 a.m. Jan. 26 after being stopped for speeding. The younger man also was cited for obstructing an officer after he fled on foot after the car stopped. Police found more than 40 DVDs in the car and later determined they had been taken from a Target in Milwaukee.

4A 30-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for intent to deliver marijuana and on two warrants in the 8600 block of North Green Bay Road at 11:32 p.m. Feb. 5 after police saw her car stopped on the right side of the road in a no-parking zone. After the woman was arrested on the warrants, she was taken to the Police Department where officers found 10 individually wrapped plastic bags containing 9.2 grams of marijuana in her inner coat pocket and $611 in cash in her purse.

5Bradley's Jazz Club, 4740 W. Bradley Road, was cited for loud noise after officers in a squad car could hear noise coming from the club while sitting in a squad car a block away at 2:07 a.m. Feb. 7. A second ticket for loud noise was issued at midnight Feb. 14.

6A 29-year-old Milwaukee man whose membership at Snap Fitness, 4301 W. Bradley Road, had been terminated was arrested for trespassing at 11:49 p.m. Feb. 9. The man dashed in as the door was closing as another member left in order to gain entry.

7A 34-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for his second drunken-driving offense in the 8600 block of North 56th Street at 12:22 a.m. Feb. 11 after an officer stopped his car because of defective taillights. The man also had two open warrants and was cited for driving with a revoked license. A 24-year-old Milwaukee man, a passenger in the car that he owned, was cited for possessing 2.5 grams of marijuana, having an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle and having defective taillights at night. The driver's blood-alcohol content was 0.20.

8A 14-year-old Brown Deer boy was cited for disorderly conduct for threatening to cut another student's hair at Brown Deer High School, 8060 N. 60th St., at 9 a.m. Feb. 11.

9A 15-year-old Brown Deer boy was cited for disorderly conduct for refusing to follow the direction of a teacher and then swearing and using vulgar language at the principal at Brown Deer High School, 8060 N. 60th St., at 12:05 p.m. Feb. 11.

• Police responded to three domestic incidents last week.


10A 29-year-old Grafton man was arrested for drunken driving in the 300 block of West Bradley Road at 12:38 a.m. Feb. 7 after being stopped for having faulty registration. His blood-alcohol content was 0.11.

11A 38-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving in the 6900 block of North Yates Road at 8:21 p.m. Feb. 8 after driving into a snowbank. His BAC was 0.10.

12Unauthorized purchases totaling $2,867 were made to an Aurora, Ill., woman's credit card at Best Buy, 8755 N. Port Washington Road, Dec. 12. The incident was reported Feb. 13 after the woman received her credit card bill.

13A 26-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 300 block of West Bradley Road at 3:13 a.m. Feb. 14 after being stopped because of a missing license plate. Her BAC was 0.17.


14A 17-year-old boy was cited for receiving stolen property at Nicolet High School, 6701 N. Jean Nicolet Road, Feb. 10 after he was found with property that had been taken from a student's purse Oct. 16. He had been cited for the Feb. 6 theft of a wallet in a photography class.

• Unauthorized charges totaling $619 were made to a Glendale man's credit card account prior to Jan. 12.

15A counterfeit check was used to buy $449 worth of merchandise at Sears, 5900 N. Port Washington Road, Jan. 22. The check was one of five passed in Wisconsin and written on the account of a Richwood, Texas, couple. The fraud was not discovered until Feb. 9.

16Three Milwaukee men, 22, 25 and 26, were arrested by Milwaukee police in the food court at the Bayshore Town Center, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, about 4:10 p.m. Feb. 9 in connection with a shooting incident. The shooting had happened about 40 minutes earlier at 32nd Street and Custer Avenue in Milwaukee.

17A man ran out of Pick 'n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, with eight bottles of alcohol about 6:35 p.m. Feb. 9. Loss is estimated at $264.

• Nearly $900 in cell phone charges were made to an account opened with a Glendale man's identity prior to 7:35 p.m. Feb. 9.

18A gym locker was pried open and a gym bag and its contents were taken from Le Club, 2001 W. Good Hope Road, between 7:45 and 9:15 p.m. Feb. 9.

19A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for drunken driving, driving without headlamps and expired registration in the 4900 block of North Port Washington Road about 12:40 a.m. Feb. 10. His blood-alcohol content was 0.18.

20Two Milwaukee women, 25 and 29, were cited for battery for fighting in a room at La Quinta Inn and Suites, 5423 N. Port Washington Road, about 3:15 a.m. Feb. 10. The room was damaged, with several light fixtures ripped from the walls and the furniture in disarray.

21A cell phone valued at $150 was taken after having been left in a waiting area of Magical Nails, 5900 N. Port Washington Road, between 1:30 and 1:53 p.m. Feb. 10.

22A 36-year-old Brown Deer woman was cited for drunken driving, her fourth offense of driving with a suspended license and expired registration in the 900 block of West Silver Spring Drive about 1:45 a.m. Feb. 11. Her BAC was 0.08.

23A 45-year-old West Allis man was cited for driving a car without the owner's consent and possession of drug paraphernalia at 25th Street and Silver Spring Drive about 3:20 a.m. Feb. 11. Police saw the man kneeling beside the 1994 Toyota, which had been reported stolen the previous morning in Hales Corners.

24A 26-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for theft in the 5400 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard about 7:50 p.m. Feb. 11 after taking clothing valued at $466 from Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave. The clothing was recovered in the car and in the street.

25A Shorewood woman and a Racine woman, both 20, were cited for theft for trying to take an estimated $206 worth of clothing from Kohl's Department Store, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, about 3:15 p.m. Feb. 13.

26A 43-year-old Glendale woman was cited for disorderly conduct for choking a 43-year-old Fox Point woman she believed had contact with her boyfriend in the parking lot of the Silver Spring House, 6655 N. Green Bay Ave., about 2 a.m. Feb. 14.

27A 16-year-old Milwaukee boy was cited for trespassing and obstructing an officer in the 6900 block of North Port Washington Road about 6 p.m. Feb. 14 after leaving Bayshore Town Center, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, from where he had been banned, and giving a wrong name. He and the 19-year-old Milwaukee man with him were turned over to Brookfield police for an investigation of clothing taken from stores at Brookfield Square along with several eyeglass frames taken from a nearby store. All the clothing was recovered in the trunk of their car.


• No reportable incidents occurred last week.


28A 16-year-old Milwaukee boy was cited for battery for punching a 14-year-old Milwaukee boy in the back of the head in the 2000 block of East Capitol Drive about 4:30 p.m. Feb. 11. The victim suffered two chipped teeth after falling to the ground.

29A village bench valued at $2,200 was hit by a vehicle on the southeast corner of Shorewood Boulevard and Oakland Avenue between Feb. 13 and 16.

30An inner foyer door was shattered in the 3900 block of North Cramer Street between 1:30 and 2 a.m. Feb. 13. Damage is estimated at $500.

31A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for drunken driving, speeding and failing to stop for a stop sign after he was clocked going 73 mph in a 25-mph residential area in the 3700 and 3800 blocks of North Maryland Avenue about 3:25 a.m. Feb. 13.


32A total of $100 was taken from four gym lockers at Dominican High School, 120 E. Silver Spring Drive, between 1 and 2 p.m. Feb. 11. Some or all of the combination locks on the lockers had the combinations on the back. None of the lockers had been pried open.

33Gary Kimble, 42, Milwaukee, was charged with armed robbery by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office for allegedly robbing Harpos Hair Salon, 5585 N. Diversey Blvd., about 7 p.m. Feb. 12. He allegedly demanded money after saying he had a gun. Kimble was arrested at Lake View and Bay Ridge avenues. He had no gun.


• Firefighters answered 120 calls, 80 emergency medical and 40 fire/rescue, between Feb. 9 and 15.

34Crews working on the foundation of a house in the 300 block of West Clovernook Lane, Glendale, at 9 a.m. Feb. 9 struck a gas meter, causing a leak at the house. Firefighters blocked access to Clovernook Street and Apple Tree Lane, and called for assistance from We Energies, which responded to secure the leak and remove the meter.

35An art room at Dominican High School, 120 E. Silver Spring Drive, Whitefish Bay, began to fill with smoke when various art projects were placed in a kiln at 12:06 p.m. Feb. 9. The school was evacuated. Firefighters opened windows, turned off the kiln and ventilated the building. Newspaper inside the art projects had caught fire. Because of the smoke and odor in the building, students were sent home for the remainder of the day.

36A rooftop air-conditioning unit in the 2900 block of West Vera Avenue, Glendale, overheated, exploded and released refrigerant into the building at 10:48 a.m. Feb. 10. Employees evacuated; and firefighters ventilated the building.

37A car sheered off the gas meter to a condominium unit in the 8300 block of North Teutonia Avenue, Brown Deer, at 9:44 a.m. Feb. 15. Firefighters turned off the gas supply and, with the help of police, evacuated the units.
