1A 21-year-old Knox, Ind., woman was arrested for drunken driving and warned for speeding 71 mph in a 55 mph zone as she drove north in the 9500 block of Interstate 43 at 2:10 a.m. Sept. 7. The woman, who admitted drinking to celebrate the 21st birthday of her passenger, said she had "three beers and a couple of shots" but stopped drinking at 9 p.m. Her blood alcohol content was 0.09.
2Obscene words and deep scratches were found on two cars in the 9400 block of Woods Circle at 10 p.m. Aug. 25. A 2001 Chevrolet Malibu had $500 damage and a 2009 Mercedes-Benz $2,500. The car owners were visiting a friend.
3A 24-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft and possession of a side-cutter to remove sensor tags at Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, about noon Aug. 26. The woman entered the store with a flat purse, removed sensor tags from pants, shoes and shirts valued at $225 and left the store with a full purse. She was with an 18-year-old Milwaukee woman who was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
4A 32-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft at Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, at 9:45 p.m. Aug. 27. The woman walked out of the store with a box of Oneida flatware and another of Bobby Flay cookware valued at $389 without paying. She then fled in a car but was stopped a few blocks away. She'd been arrested for theft in Brown Deer in 2010 and April 2012.
5Two video game systems and video games with a total value of more than $800 were taken from the 7600 block of North Sherman Boulevard during the day Aug. 27. A back door was kicked in to gain entry causing $500 damage.
6A 14-year-old Brown Deer boy was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, a knife with a five-inch blade, near the baseball field at Algonquin Park, 7850 N. 51st St., at 5:45 p.m. Aug. 27. The boy said he was sorry and knew he shouldn't have the knife in the park.
7A 34-year-old Milwaukee woman, a caregiver, was arrested for physical abuse of an individual at risk after she fought with a 44-year-old woman, a resident, at Mt. Castle Group Home, 9205 N. Pearlette Lane, at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 3. The caregiver heard a loud noise and found that the resident had assaulted another resident, flipped over tables, kicked in a door and threw items. The resident then assaulted the caregiver who admitted she retaliated saying she was protecting herself. The resident, who has a history of being violent, was taken into emergency detention.
Three domestic violence incidents were reported this week.
8Two males were seen taking Rogaine hair and shaving products from shelves at CVS Pharmacy, 8661 N. Port Washington Road, at 4 p.m. Aug. 31. They began to walk out of the store with filled plastic bags and an employee attempted to stop them. One said he had purchased the items in the bags but when asked to see a receipt, they left the store and drove off in a silver Honda or Nissan. The shelves in this area were completely empty and the value of the stolen items could be close to $1,000.
9Items valued at more than $700 including a video game system, a GPS unit, DVD player and DVDs were reported taken from a locked car in the 300 block of West Estabrook Boulevard at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 31. A window was broken to gain entry.
10A suit jacket valued at $2,000, an $800 laptop computer and a suitcase valued at $350 were taken from a car at Columbia St. Mary's, 575 W. River Wood Parkway, about 12:30 p.m. Aug. 31. A window was broken to gain entry.
11A purse valued at $350 and contents including a $200 cellphone and $300 cash was taken from a car at Le Club, 2001 W. Good Hope Road, between 10 and 11 a.m. Sept. 1. The woman said she had hidden the purse under a blanket. Damage to a window was $350.
12Residents reported that several vehicles were ransacked for change in the 1100 block of West Kendall Avenue on Aug. 31 or Sept. 1.
13A 50-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft, theft with a booster bag, resisting/obstruction and violation of her probation after taking jeans, bras and underwear valued at $135 from Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., at 3:45 p.m. Sept. 1. The woman, who gave a false name and birth date, was on probation for escaping from custody.
14A 20-year-old Glendale man was arrested for drunken driving, possession of marijuana, driving without a license, failure to fasten his seat belt and battery/domestic violence related in the 4800 block of North Mohawk Avenue at 11:50 p.m. Sept. 1. His live-in girlfriend said the man choked her, which he denied, saying he didn't remember because, "I'm drunk." His BAC was 0.20. The victim signed a 72-hour no contact order which she withdrew Sept. 2.
15A residence was broken into but nothing taken in the 2800 block of West Mill Road during the day Sept. 5.
16An attempted burglary was reported in the 5600 block of North Sievers Place on Sept. 3, 4 or 5. A window and patio door were both damaged but entry not gained.
17Power tools valued at $1,700 were taken from unsecured work vans in the 2100 block of West Camden Avenue the morning of Sept. 6.
18Two Milwaukee females, 17 and 18, were arrested for theft of jewelry valued at $246 from Forever 21, 5766 N. Bayshore Drive, at 5:50 p.m. Sept. 3. The females took jeans into a fitting room and when they exited, handed the jeans to an employee saying they didn't want them. That employee found jewelry tags in the jean pockets. The 17-year-old was also cited for obstruction after lying about her name, her mother's name, her age and where she lived.
19A laptop and a case valued at $1,000 were taken from a car in the 5200 block of North Port Washington Road about noon Sept. 4. A window was broken to gain entry.
20A 25-year-old Racine man was arrested for disorderly conduct, obstruction and two warrants at Bayshore Town Center, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, at 1:45 p.m. Sept. 4. The man was questioned after another man accused him of taking a photo while he sat on a toilet. The victim was alerted when he saw a man's hand above the door with a cellphone. The suspect denied the allegations.
A 46-year-old Bayside man was mailed a citation Sept. 5 for issuing a worthless check to the village for $88.80 to pay a citation for nonregistration May 30. When he failed to respond to a notification that his checked had not cleared, he was mailed another citation.
21An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of 3 grams of marijuana, driving with a suspended license and given a correction notice for expired registration in the 1500 block of East Capitol Drive at 1:35 a.m. Aug. 31. A strong odor of marijuana was evident when the man opened the window.
22A man reported the theft of his wallet which was left in a cab after he was dropped off in the 3700 block of North Oakland Avenue about 1 a.m. Sept. 2. That afternoon one of his credit cards was used at Tina's Market and a Walgreens in Milwaukee charging $18. The card was canceled.
23A 42-year-old Milwaukee man attempted to buy food with a counterfeit $10 bill at Culver's, 1325 E. Capitol Drive, at 2:25 p.m. Sept. 2. The man denied knowing the bill was counterfeit although, according to police, it was obviously so. The case is under investigation.
24A 44-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of 0.22 grams of cocaine and theft at Pick 'n Save, 4145 N. Oakland Ave., at 2 p.m. Sept. 3. The man was stopped as he left the store without paying for lobster tails and steaks valued at $80. The cocaine was found in his pocket.
25A 26-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for resisting arrest and habitual intoxication in the 3900 block of North Oakland Avenue at 2:05 a.m. Sept. 5. The woman fought with police and was so intoxicated she was unable to care for herself.
26A 17-year-old Shorewood boy was arrested for possession of two grams of marijuana as he drove in the 2300 block of East Beverley Road at 2:25 p.m. Sept. 5. Police pulled his car over after receiving a call regarding "suspicious activity."
27A $200 bicycle with the front wheel locked to a bike rack was taken from the 3800 block of North Oakland Avenue before 6:45 p.m. Sept. 6. The front tire and lock were left behind.
28Three males, 16 to 18, were seen on surveillance video taking 10 bottles of liquor valued at about $190 from CVS Pharmacy, 240 E. Hampton Road, about noon Aug. 30. The boys fled the store and rode off on bicycles.
29A 20-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for underage drinking and violation of park hours at Big Bay Park, 5000 N. Palisades Road, at 1:05 a.m. Sept. 1. He was seen throwing a half-full bottle of whiskey under the pier when police arrived. A 25-year-old Shorewood man was mailed a citation for violation of park hours.
30A 53-year-old Fox Point man was arrested for drunken driving, driving left of center, no proof of insurance and speeding 46 mph in a 30 mph zone in the 5300 block of North Lake Drive Avenue at 11:45 p.m. Sept. 1. His BAC was 0.13.
31A 17-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for drunken driving, driving after suspension and speeding 45 mph in a 30 mph zone in the 4800 block of North Lake Drive at 1:45 a.m. Sept. 2. His BAC was 0.15. An 18-year-old Milwaukee man, the passenger, was arrested for underage drinking, obstruction and open intoxicants.
A resident reported an attempted scam after receiving a call from her grandson saying he was in an accident and arrested and she must wire him $3,000 at 8:15 a.m. Sept. 6. No money was sent.
32A $150 cellphone was taken from a locker in the girls locker room at Whitefish Bay High School, 1200 E. Fairmount Ave., between 4 and 5:20 p.m. Sept. 7.
33Two bicycles, value not listed, were taken from the 5200 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard on Sept. 6 to 8.
