1An 83-year-old Bayside man was cited for hit and run after he backed into a parked car and drove off in the 300 block of West Brown Deer Road at 10:45 a.m. Feb. 9. He said he didn't realize he hit a car.


2A 23-year-old Glendale man is a suspect in damage to property/domestic in the 5300 block of West Wabash Avenue at 7 p.m. Feb. 7. The man allegedly kicked in a window on a car belonging to his girlfriend whom he lives with. The two had been arguing outside her employer's place of business. He then kicked in the window and drove off. The woman also drove off and waved down a squad car to report the incident. She said she was concerned for her safety.

3A 55-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting/obstruction of a police officer after causing a disturbance on a bus in the 9500 block of North Green Bay Road at 2:25 p.m. Feb. 8. The man threatened the driver, passengers and a transit security officer. He also struggled with police. The man is on probation for five drunken driving convictions. His preliminary breath test was 0.167.

• One domestic violence incident was reported this week.


4A 24-year-old Germantown man was arrested for drunken driving after being stopped for driving erratically in the 8100 block of North Port Washington Road at 1:30 a.m. Feb. 5. The man said he had two vodkas two hours before. A half empty bottle of liquor was found in the car. His blood alcohol content was 0.19.

5Items valued at more than $3,500 were taken from a residence in the 200 block of East Green Tree Road during the day Feb. 9. Items taken included a 32-inch LCD TV, a digital media player, laptop computers and a snow blower. Entry was gained through a side door.


6An 18-year-old Glendale man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 7700 block of North Green Bay Avenue at 10 p.m. Feb. 5. Police stopped to investigate a car parked behind a closed business that had fogged over windows. They opened a back door and found the man "completely naked" lying on the back seat and a female partially naked sitting on the floor next to him. A glass bong and 0.7 grams of marijuana were confiscated.

7From 50 to 60 used tires were illegally dumped at Heiser Ford, 1700 W. Silver Spring Drive, about 1 p.m. Feb. 7. An employee saw two men get out of a white van and dump the tires. The cost to dispose of them is about $2 each. The case is under investigation.

8A resident reported an odor of burning marijuana coming through the vents from another apartment in the 300 block of West Coventry Court at 8:45 p.m. Feb. 8. The odor was not an illegal drug but a couple cooking food using different spices and smoking Russian cigarettes.

9A 31-year-old DePere man and a 25-year-old Milwaukee man were arrested for theft from Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 9. Police arrived as the men exited the store. The Milwaukee man ran off but was caught and also arrested for obstruction. The men had taken nine pairs of jeans and shirts valued at more than $340. All items were recovered.

10A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of cocaine and marijuana after causing a disturbance in the lobby of La Quinta Inn, 5110 N. Port Washington Road, at 6:45 p.m. Feb. 9. An employee said the man was asking other guests for money and refused to leave when asked. As police arrived, the man ran out of the inn and was told to stop and show his hands. He stopped and as he threw up his hands, a plastic baggie flew out of each one onto the hood of the squad car. One baggie held 4.3 grams of marijuana and the other 0.9 grams of cocaine.

11An unknown vehicle hit a metal door in an underground garage causing $1,000 damage in the 3900 block of North Oakland Avenue sometime from Feb. 5 to Feb. 9.

12A 26-year-old Shorewood man was arrested for fraud to a cab driver in the 4000 block of North Oakland Avenue at 8:25 a.m. Feb. 7. The man had called the cab from a downtown hotel and asked to be taken to a bank in order to pay for the cab before being driven home. However, the bank was closed and the man fled but was caught in the area.


• A resident reported receiving a check for $2,200 after she attempted to buy a $200 table posted on Craigslist Feb. 10. The check was to be destroyed or returned to sender.

13A 44-year-old Glendale man was arrested for drunken driving, failure to have proof of insurance and failure to stop at a sign in the 4800 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard at 12 a.m. Feb. 12. His BAC was 0.19.

14A 40-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and open intoxicants after a report of a man "passed out" in his car in the 900 block of East Lexington Boulevard at 4 a.m. Feb. 13. His BAC was 0.12.
