Nicole Marie Scher and Benjamin Jeffrey Hubing of Shorewood were married Aug. 13, 2011, at Three Holy Women Parish, St. Hedwig Church, Milwaukee.
Parents of the bride are David and Mary Scher of Glendale. The groom's parents are Jeffrey and Lori Hubing of Random Lake.
The Rev. Tim Kitzke officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Harbour Lights Room in Milwaukee.
Abby Scher of Glendale, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jami Gardebrecht and Mary Cavanaugh of Glendale, Danielle Hubing of Boston, Erin Luterbach of West Allis, Amy Graf of Osceola, and Jane Veverka of Huntsville, Ala. Flower girls were Carli and Ellie Ramon of Bookfield, cousins of the groom.
Riley Murphy of Wauwatosa, friend of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Clemens of Plymouth, Ben Wiltse of Minneapolis, Sam Krier of Pewaukee, Tom Krier of Shorewood, Mark Thiel of Milwaukee, and Mark Yearling of Shorewood. Ring bearer was Ryan Schmidt of Phoenix, cousin of the bride.
The bride earned her master's degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is a therapist at a psychiatric hospital.
The groom earned his master's degree in education from Cardinal Stritch University. He is an Advanced Placement history teacher at Greendale High School.
The couple planned a one-week honeymoon to Aruba.
The couple met while working at the Jewish Community Center Rainbow Day Camp, where the groom also proposed to the bride.
