The following students earned degrees from Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., in May: William Stewart of Glendale, master of public health degree; Blake Pindyck of River Hills, bachelor of arts; and Andrew Seidner of Shorewood, bachelor of science.

The following graduates earned bachelor's degrees from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in May: from Brown Deer, Nicholas Becker, marketing, and David Schimenz, biology with honors; from Glendale, Sasha Gajewski, sport management; and from Mequon, Elizabeth Johns, marketing, Rimpal Kumbhani, psychology, Michael Miller, international business, and Katherine Schiller, mathematics education. Also, Adam Grimm of Mequon earned a master's degree in physician assistant studies.

The following students made the spring semester dean's list or honor roll at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh: from Brown Deer, Brian Michalica and Zach Schimenz; from Glendale, Sara LaLicata; from Mequon, Peter Blain, Gina Buzzanca, Marissa Buzzanca, Jenessa Freck, Kyla Hensel, Andrew McWilliams and Samuel Tackmier; from Thiensville, Sarah Kortsch; and from Whitefish Bay, Emily Bostwick, Alyssa Maglio and David Rice.

Abbie Bishop of Mequon and Ellerton Warhus of Shorewood made the spring semester honor lists at Edgewood College in Madison.

Colleen Caragher of Whitefish Bay made the spring semester dean's list at Providence College in Rhode Island.


McLane Sellars and Erika Tyagi of Mequon, Homestead High School graduates, Emma Cranston of River Hills, University School of Milwaukee graduate, and Eileen Stillwell, Shorewood High School graduate, earned National Merit scholarships financed by colleges and universities based on their scores on the 2010 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Sellars earned a scholarship from Denison University in Ohio; Tyagi, from Carleton College in Minnesota; Cranston, from Scripps College in California; and Stillwell, from St. Olaf College in Minnesota.
