Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare and the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee have opened the YMCA Healthy Lifestyle Village on the site of the Rite-Hite Family YMCA at 9250 N. Green Bay Road in Brown Deer.
The collaboration includes a new 60,000-square-foot medical building connected by a common lobby to the Rite-Hite facility, formerly the Schroeder YMCA. The new location for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare includes physician offices; full service imaging, including nuclear and stress tests; physical therapy; an endoscopy suite; a pain management center; and a laboratory.
The YMCA also recently underwent an extensive renovation as part of the project.
"Our newly renovated Rite-Hite Family YMCA provides members and the community the opportunity to live healthier in spirit, mind and body, and their options are enhanced through the offerings at Wheaton," Bob Yamachika, president and chief executive of the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee, said in a news release.
The Village will offer health screenings, community health and wellness education, outpatient therapy and rehabilitation, aquatic rehabilitation programming, stress management and shared use of fitness equipment.
