Dear Mr. Kass:
My name is Lauren. I am 7-years-old. I'm writing this letter because I want to thank you for the awesome fireworks last night. Mom says people spend money on all kinds of things but you chose to give our community this very special gift.
My mom, dad and I had so much fun. My little sister did not. During the show, she covered her ears and cried. Mom took pictures of her and says she'll cherish that moment forever. I'm a big girl. I kept my eyes open because my dad and I like to count fireworks in the sky.
When I go back to school this fall, I'll tell my teacher about the fireworks. It's one of the best things I did this summer. I hope you had fun. My mom says that you probably saw your wife and daughter-in-law in the sky. We didn't know them but for a moment, we felt them too.
Thank you, Mr. Kass.
