Today we are having a major blizzard in the State of Wisconsin, incidentally, birthplace of the Republican Party.


Abraham Lincoln, the party's earliest presidential candidate became the 16th president of the United States and then fought and abolished slavery.


Jefferson was a slave holder who had children with a slave whom he'd taken on as his wife. A number of our forefathers who wrote about equality and had a hand in the evolution of the constitution were slave holders.


Two years ago, we elected a president of black ancestry who's father was from Kenya; therefore, he was not a decedent of American slaves nor of our forefathers, at least not on his father's side. After all these years, after a culture that embraced slavery, we celebrate a president of black ancestry.


President Obama's white mother gave birth to Barack in Hawaii in the United States, much to the consternation of those yet to unburden themselves of their racial inclinations.
